When I moved to Italy in 2024 with my family, I needed to pass the B1 cittadinanza exam to apply for citizenship. I didn’t speak any Italian yet, but I was motivated and ready to get started. I joined an online exam prep course, only to realize it was made for people who were already fluent. I was lost from day one.​
​​​Next, I tried an in-person language school. I went to class 15 hours a week, spent nearly 1500€, and two months later, my teacher told me I was still at the A1 level. I was shocked. I had no more time to give. I didn’t need perfect grammar or advanced fluency... I just needed to pass the exam. I bought a popular test prep book, but it was entirely in Italian, with no real structure and no support. I felt stuck and overwhelmed.
That’s when I decided to build exactly what I needed: a practical, affordable, self-paced course taught in English, focused only on what was required to pass. With my background as a nationally board-certified ESL teacher and a graduate degree in education, I created a system that worked - and I passed. I wasn’t the only one who needed this kind of help.
