For B1 Cittadinanza and A2 Integrazione candidates, October 21st has a safety net.
Here's the catch: October results won't appear online until around December 16th, after the December 3rd exam has already happened. And December registration closes October 24, just three days after you sit for the October exam. So the December backup is not something you decide after seeing your results. It's something you decide walking out of the exam room.
Taking the B1 Standard? December 3rd is your only shot
If you need the B1 Standard for work, university, or a professional license, the math is harsher: December 3rd is the only remaining 2026 date that offers it. There is no backup session. Miss the registration window or miss the pass mark, and your timeline moves to June 2027 for a re-take and no results until at least October 2027.
